About

Salutations, browser. In early 2000, a great man named Seth Hall asked me if I wanted to write for a website he started, called remor. Gladly I started chronicling events and items of interest. Looking back, I guess I have to begrudgingly accept the fact that remor was a weblog (the shortening of that word sends shivers through my body). We were talking about what we found interesting long before the craze caught fire and we didn’t like the label, but there’s no getting around the classification these days. Anyway, remor was a great vehicle for the history of a specific time and community. For a good six years we plugged along. What happened? Not sure, but we eventually went offline.

This site is my attempt to begin again in the same fashion. Although I do not have access to the remor database, I will attempt to port as many of the old articles to mithridatism.com as I can. It’s a laborious project to go through each of the articles in archived form, but it’s also very interesting to read each piece and look at the comments. Not all comments can be recreated here, as the archive site I use doesn’t have them all. I will repost as many as I can.

This space will be used to keep a record of things I think are interesting, as well as whatever is going on in my life at the moment. I would love to be able to turn that “I” into a “we.” If you have any interest in writing for a site like this one, please feel free to email me and we can set up an authoring account for you.

Hope you enjoy what you read.
